Introduction to Phuket Weather

Phuket is well known across the world for its magnificent beaches, top hotels, glorious blue waters and as a top beach holiday destination. Like many of the world's top beach holiday destinations, the weather is seasonal, with 2 seasons, high season and low season also known as the monsoon or rainy season. However, there is one common misconception about the weather in Phuket, that the low season is a no-go time for Thailand. During the low season, nicknamed the green season, there are periods of rain, however often, these only last a 30 minutes and is followed by a day of glorious sunshine.
Best Time to Go to Phuket
Without a doubt, the best time to visit Phuket is during the North East Monsoon, which spans between November and March which is known as
the traditional HIGH SEASON. During this time the temperature is hot, but not too humid, the temperatures range from between 75F and 89F (24C and 32C).
Phuket Weather - Low Season
The so-called LOW SEASON is between May and September with April and October being transition months. The low season sometimes brings with it monsoonal rain.
